Angelina Jolie on plastic surgery rumors: I haven’t done anything to my face
Angelina Jolie on plastic surgery rumors: I haven’t done anything to my face

She’s considered one of the most beautiful women in the world – if not actually the most beautiful one – so it’s no wonder people believe she may have had some tweaks here and there along the years. In a brand new interview, Angelina Jolie says where she stands on plastic surgery.

In order to promote her latest film, “The Tourist,” which sees her opposite Johnny Depp, the actress sat down with the Daily Mail to talk about anything and everything, from her gorgeous family to her status as a beauty icon and her career plans.

Speaking strictly of beauty, Jolie is very surprised to find out that Joan Collins once called her the one great beauty of our times, comparable perhaps only to the likes of Dame Elizabeth Taylor.

“That is so sweet and so flattering. It means that much more coming from her, because she is just so gorgeous and cool and has been for ever,” Jolie says with her trademark modesty.

As for plastic surgery, while she doesn’t want to put herself in any position to judge, she says personally she hasn’t had any work done. This, regardless of how many online reports about a facelift, a nose job and even lip augmentation may make the rounds.

“I haven’t had anything done and I don’t think I will. But if it makes somebody happy then that’s up to them. I’m not in somebody else’s skin to know what makes them feel better about themselves,” the actress says.

She wants to grow old gracefully and naturally, so plastic surgery seems to be off the table for good. “But I don’t plan to do it myself,” says Jolie in the same interview.

Just like she doesn’t pay attention to rumors about the work she’s had done on her body and face, she pays no heed to gossip about her personal life with Brad Pitt, her partner and the father of her children.

“Really, all that stuff that goes on, it’s nothing to do with us. We ignore it because it’s nonsense. We can laugh about things that are said about us because we’re OK,” Angelina says, explaining how they deal with those few snippets that do reach their ears.
