They both like to keep their personal life out of the tabloids and, oddly enough, they’re always hot topics with the media. Angelina Jolie and Kristen Stewart have another thing in common now: they’re good friends, new reports suggest. The other day, word got out that Jolie was so moved by Kristen’s plight when it comes to dealing with fame, that she actually reached out to her and befriended her,
SugarScape writes.
Sources close to Jolie are telling the glossies that she felt she could offer some guidance, help and counseling to the “Twilight” star, especially since she’s been very vocal about the downsides of being famous.
In one way, Jolie has “adopted” Kristen, says an unnamed spy.
“Kristen and Angelina talk all the time. They’ve crossed paths at various red carpet events and I think something about Kristen’s apparent vulnerability called to Angelina’s motherly instincts,” the tipster explains.
The two have so much in common that being best friends comes naturally to them, the insider further says.
“She’s really taken Kristen under her wing and seems to think of her as the little sister she never had. Angelina’s counseled Kristen on how to work the red carpet and deal with mobs of fans,” the insider goes on to explain.
Jolie’s help extends beyond that, into offering the younger actress precious advice on how to survive in showbiz.
“She’s also been giving Kristen tips on negotiating her career and what projects she should consider next,” the spy adds.
That last part is at least a bit odd, since Angelina would probably be Stewart’s last choice of a career role model, judging by what she once said in
an interview about wanting to be an “actor” and “not a movie star like Angelina Jolie.”
Apparently, these “insiders” would have fans believe Kristen had a change of heart about that – and is now ready to become a “movie star” herself.
