Whatever chemistry they had is slowly disappearing, report claims

When word first got out that Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp would star in a movie together (“The Tourist,” now shooting in Venice), the tabloids suddenly found themselves in a frenzy of rumors on how they might soon become more than just co-stars. As it happens, whatever chemistry the two might have shared at first is now about to disappear altogether, as they are slowly realizing they don’t really stand each other, says InTouch in the latest print issue (story via here).

Apparently, Depp and Jolie are having a hard time on set and it’s not because of challenging stunts or last-minute changes to the production schedule. They don’t really like each other, unnamed sources say for the aforementioned magazine. In fact, they downright hate each other and would go out of their way to spend as little time together as possible: Depp thinks Jolie is a prim donna, and she believes he should wash more and perhaps lose some weight too.

“Angelina was intrigued with Johnny Depp when she first met him, but now it seems the bloom is off the rose. ‘She’s getting fed up with Johnny,’ says the insider. ‘Their chemistry was supposed to fly off the charts, but in private, they’re not getting along.’ While on on-set source says Johnny considers Angelina uptight and self-involved, Angelina thinks Johnny parties too much – and is bothered by his late nights and time spent practicing with the band Babybird, which she fears could affect his performance. The insider reveals it annoys Angelina when Johnny shows up late to set,” InTouch writes.

“She was disappointed that he didn’t get in better shape for the role and that he didn’t want to cut his hair. [Meanwhile, Angelina] is in her trailer forever while she gets her hair and makeup done,” a spy dishes for the tab. Moreover, “Johnny retreats to his own trailer until he’s called out again. He think she’s really full of herself. Even though Johnny’s family visits periodically, Angelina hasn’t extended an invitation to Johnny. Angelina’s experience on The Tourist hasn’t been the best, to say the least,” the same insider reveals.

Reps for both actors have already denied such reports, calling them meritless and stressing that Jolie and Depp get along just fine since they are both professionals. “The Tourist” comes out at the beginning of 2011 – whether their chemistry has vanished during production will be clearly seen then, when the film arrives in theaters.
