The people of Malta are getting mixed feelings about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt coming to their island to shoot their next project. On the one hand, it's always nice to have celebrities around, but on the other hand they've just found out that the filming process is closing down a public beach until November.

In their first on-screen appearance since 2005 “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” Angelina and Brad have started work on their love story movie “By the Sea” and the local newspapers are reporting that the picturesque beach of Mgarr ix-Xini is going to be closed to the public beginning today, August 18 until November 10, to accommodate the film crew, according to Aceshowbiz.

It seems that work on the sets began some while ago, before Angelina and Brad Pitt even set foot on the island, and the main body of work was geared towards building two structures, one on the beach and another on a cliff opposite the beach.

Right now, it's unclear if people are happy or sad about the film crew taking over part of the island, but the local authorities are clearly pleased with the press they are getting.

“I'm happy that Hollywood producers have once again chosen Malta for their project, and we will be delighted to host Mr. Pitt, Ms. Jolie, and their family for the second time in just a few years,” said Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Malta.

For Pitt, this is a return to Malta, the island where he shot “Troy” in 2004 and “World War Z” in 2013.
