Try as they might, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West couldn't get the same amount of attention as “the other wedding of the century,” that between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, who went into the exact opposite direction and sought as little attention as possible.

Brad and Angie did their best to keep the wedding under the radar and got married in front of some 20 family members and close friends at a castle in France. The entire affair was such a big secret that we only found out about it a week later, and then only because of a press release from their representative.

This is the main reason the wedding photos of the most famous couple in the world today fetched a very big price, $2 million (€1,522,098), if we're to believe a report by Confidenti@l. The photos were sold to People Magazine and Hello! Magazine just one week after the couple got married on August 23 in France.

That's quite the wedding present for the new couple, and it actually took two major publications to come up with the money: Hello! And People decided to form a partnership in order to get the exclusive photos and pay the expensive price tab.

This is not the first time that Brad and Angelina resort to selling their private photos. Usually, the two actors are very private about their personal lives, and it was generally believed that they would never sell the rights to their wedding photos.

The first time they sold some personal photos was back in 2006, when they got twice than what they received on their wedding photos, for the first official snaps of their baby daughter Shiloh. That time, People Magazine found the money to pay up and get the exclusive rights.

In 2007, the couple again sold the rights to their first photos of son Pax for an undisclosed sum, which was said at the time to be even larger than what they got for the Shiloh photos. Finally, the couple got a record-breaking fourteen million for the first photos of their twins, Vivienne and Knox, again, from People Magazine.

It remains unknown as to why the couple chose to sell their photos since their combined revenues amount to several hundreds of millions of dollars. But, as many other celebrities before them had learned, it's better to cash in on your own photos, then have someone else leak them and get a pay day.
