One of the most anticipated releases this summer is “Salt,” a spy thriller
that sees Angeline Jolie as a possible Russian sleeper within the CIA, a movie that was initially written with Tom Cruise as the lead in mind. As the nation- and worldwide release is literally around the corner, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt brought “Salt” to Los Angeles – and rocked the red / black carpet in style, as People
magazine can confirm.
It’s been quite a while that the two stars have walked a red carpet together, which, of course, has offered plenty of occasions to the tabs to come up with breaking up and new pregnancy stories. Still, it’s refreshing to see that, no matter how many times they appear in public together to promote one project or another, these two actors still have what it takes to make a splash, from incredible good looks, to undeniable good taste and unique style, and even the people factor.
Both dressed in black, Angelina in a shimmering mini black dress, and Brad in a classic cut suit without a tie, the two not only posed for official pictures, but they were also incredibly generous with the media and the fans. Given the exposure they get in the press, it’s no wonder that neither Jolie nor Pitt gets to spend any time talking to the fans, since they’re almost always too busy to be dodging the paparazzi. Last night was an exception, though, and they both signed autographs and even posed for pics with fans come to see them.
“Angelina Jolie shimmers in Armani and Brad Pitt steps out in a Tom Ford three-piece suit (and a little stubble left from his bushy beard) at the Monday night premiere of Salt at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood,” People writes in a post accompanying a photo taken at the premiere. Other publications note that, while Jolie’s dress was certainly very short, it was long enough to hide her new ink on the inner thigh, the one she told MTV News she got “for Brad
,” and which reportedly reads “Whiskey Bravo.”
“Salt,” Jolie’s latest film, will be in theaters all over the US starting July 23. She did most of her own stunts in it, as she said
on more than one occasion, while she also took the time to do some research on sleepers and the lives of female spies. All in all, it should prove quite a unique and entertaining ride.Follow me on Twitter @ElenaGorgan
