14 DAY TRIAL // Though it’s been many years since her current partner Brad Pitt divorced Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie still can’t let go of a certain feeling of resentment, which has increased in recent days, as Brad’s mom, Jane Pitt, continues to stay in touch with Jen.
As several celebrity bloggers point out, this story seems terribly dated, but that’s not to say there’s not an ounce of truth to it, if we’re to believe the latest issue of InTouch Weekly.
The magazine even has reliable sources to confirm the story: Angie is fuming that her mother in law (of sorts, since she’s not married to Brad) is still keeping in touch with her former daughter in law, and even telling her (Jen) secrets of her (Angelina) and Brad’s relationship.
It’s been months now that Jolie has tried to make Jane see why the relationship she maintains with Aniston is so upsetting to her but to no avail, a source reportedly close to the actress dishes.
Moreover, not even Brad would listen to her and her worries, trying to make her see that Jane is a grown woman, therefore is free to hang out with whomever she sees fit, even if that means a woman of whom Angie does not approve.
To drive her point home, Angelina has decided to never allow Jane babysit her children, and thus indirectly send a message to Jennifer that she’s to stay away from her family, the tab writes.
“Angie strongly thinks that the past is the past, and Jennifer and Jane should let each other go because their friendship is disrespectful. Angie had been complaining to Brad that it’s weird for his mom to talk to his ex-wife, but Brad just brushed it off. So she decided she didn’t want Jane watching over the twins,” dishes the spy.
“Jane still thinks of Jennifer as a daughter. She knows that Angelina isn’t happy about the friendship, but that doesn’t stop her from keeping Jen in her life,” the same source reveals.
In fact, it would seem that the harder Angelina tries to break the two friends up, the closer they become, with Aniston asking for Jane’s help even on matters like her love life and her career.
“They care about each other. Jane has never kept it a secret. She doesn’t see why she has to cut off that connection,” explains the insider.
What’s more, Brad feels the same. “He thinks Jane is a grown woman and she should be able to do what she wants,” the source further reveals.
