It is a well known fact that Brad Pitt’s mother, Jane Pitt, always liked his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. In fact, reports say, they’re still good friends so, when Angelina Jolie decided to mock Jennifer’s engagement to Justin Theroux in Jane’s presence, she was positive it would go back to her “arch-rival.”
At least, that’s what
Hollywood Life claims to have happened when Jolie found out that Aniston and Justin Theroux, her beaux of over a year, had gotten engaged.
Angelina too recently became engaged, when her partner ever since he divorced Aniston, Brad Pitt, finally proposed to her.
She is over the moon about the engagement and is dying to start planning the wedding, the report argues. As such, she will not have Jane ruin her fun by talking to her about Aniston’s engagement.
But she had her revenge, claims an insider. “Since Angie can’t say anything straight to Jen’s face, Jane is the next best thing.”
“After Jane offhandedly mentioned how thrilled she was for Jen, Angie said, ‘Please! She’s pathetic! But, hey, it’s about time. Sure hope it lasts, but don’t get your hopes up. Justin’s going to dump Jen’,” the spy goes on to say.
“Then Angie made some snide comments about how she’d believe it when she saw it, in regards to Jen’s wedding — making it clear that she thinks Jen is a pathetic, neurotic mess,” the source further says.
Angelina was actually betting on the fact that Jane would run back to Aniston with what she’d heard, which is precisely what happened.
When Jennifer learned how she’d been mocked, it nearly broke her heart and sent her down an “emotional spiral,” the tipster shares.
More than anything, Jennifer fears that Angelina might be right about Justin’s ability to stay faithful.
“Jennifer is putting on a brave face, but of course she has concerns about whether Justin is capable of being faithful. Jen is doing everything in her power to move forward and get Brad out from under her skin. But Angie’s right there, trying to throw cold water on her happiness,” the insider explains.
Of course, this coming straight from the tabloids, it’s best taken with a grain of salt.
