Media frenzy rages on over comments made by Brad on his marriage to Aniston

The Brad Pitt – Jennifer Aniston drama is the gift that keeps on giving, at least where the tabloids are concerned. After he told Parade that his marriage to Jen had been “dull,” regardless the immediate correction, various sources have come forward to explain why he said those things in the first place.

Brad’s explanation is, of course, that his words were taken out of context and twisted to mean something he never had any intention of meaning.

He even said that he only said his life had become “dull” because he made it so and not because of Jen, whom he still considers a good friend and one of the most exceptional women he’s ever met.

While some tabloid stories make it sound as if he mocked Aniston because he’s jealous she’s found love again – in the arms of actor and screenwriter Justin Theroux –, a fresh report claims Angelina Jolie, Brad’s current partner, was actually the one behind the whole thing.

That is to say, Brad publicly mocked his ex wife because his current lover told him so, Hollywood Life reports, citing InTouch Weekly.

“That is her exact opinion of Jen. She thinks she is a boring person. It’s as if Angelina specifically told Brad to say those things in the interview,” an “insider” is quoted as saying.

Another spy explains that this is typical of Jolie: she’s a very calculated woman and she knows going after Aniston in public would not sit well with her image. Instead, “she gets Brad to do her dirty work,” says the spy.

Assuming that was the case, at least Jennifer knows now that she has a man by her side on which she can rely, Hollywood Life further writes, citing the same report.

Apparently, after Brad’s comments came out in the press, Jen’s beau Justin took matters into his own hands and got in touch with Brad through a mutual friend – and told him to watch himself.

“Justin couldn’t believe what a coward Brad was. He said he should keep his mouth shut about his life with Jen,” a source explains.

This seems to have worked wonders because, the very next day, Brad issued an apology for his initial remarks on the marriage with Aniston.
