Angelina Jolie Lets the Belly Do the Talking

- Yup, there's a baby in there!

By: Monica Gaza, Entertainment News Editor

Everyone, beware! Angelia and Brad are taking over the world, one kid at a time. No, this time I actually mean that the literal way – and yes, I must give Angelina props for settling the debate on whether or not she really is pregnant in a subtle, classy, and yet definitive way. So, people, as you can see for yourselves from the enclosed photos, Angelina Jolie is pregnant again. She didn't bother with an official announcement, but stepped out at The Independent Spirit Awards wearing a figure-hugging dress and let her belly do the talking. Of course, it caused a major stir among journalists and photographers, but Angie's representative wasn't available for any comments, making this a win-win
situation: the audience gets their daily celebrity fix and Angie stops being harassed with the perpetual "are you popping another one out any time soon?" question.

I don't understand this "mum's the word" pregnancy trend that seems to be taking celebrities by storm lately – but I do blame Jennifer Lopez for turning it into one major, money-making, media whoring technique of previously unsuspected proportions and efficiency. Well, that came out nicely, didn't it? The fact is, Christina Aguillera followed suit and so did a number of other pregnant celebrities – so being pregnant and denying it is pretty much like the new pink these days: everybody does it. On the other hand, I suspect that Angelina and Brad are already under the watchful eye of the media (that is, hounded day and night) and probably don't need the extra attention. So, kudos to Angie for letting her belly do the talking for her. Some other famous pregnant ladies would do well to take notice.

This being said, it still pains me to look at Angelina, pregnant or not. She still looks like she's about to collapse under the strain of her own weight and a baby is definitely not going to add to her already controversial state of health. I mean yes, it's been getting better lately – in the sense that we haven't been reading any "Angelina is dying" stories in the past months – but she still looks too fragile and vulnerable. Fingers crossed she's taking good care of herself. Apart from that, I must ask – is the world ready for another Jolie-Pitt baby? How many diapers is Brad Pitt going to have to change before we proclaim him "the world's greatest dad" and get it over with? Stay tuned and we'll let you know!
