One week ago, celebrity bloggers were shocked to find out that so-called rivals (for a decade now) Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston walked the same red carpet, at the Critics’ Choice Awards 2015, within 5 minutes of each other and the world didn’t implode.

This was the first time they attended the same event in years, so naturally, people expected drama. They didn’t get it: there were no reports of catfights and torn hair, no icy side-glances or public diss, or anything worse.

On the contrary, shortly afterwards, Aniston praised Angelina’s directorial work in “Unbroken” in an interview, even saying that the narrative of their ongoing feud over Brad Pitt was “BS.” She lied, Star Magazine claims in its latest print edition (story via CB).

Preparations were made in advance for the gala, but Jolie is still furious

Insiders who claim to be familiar with how tense things are between these two say for the tab that both spent a lot of time making arrangements to make sure their paths would not cross at the awards show, which they had no other choice but to attend because they were nominated – and we’re hopeful about winning.

Aniston, for instance, requested the chart with the seating arrangements to make sure that they wouldn’t be too close to one another during the show, while Jolie requested that they be scheduled for arrival on the red carpet at different times, so as to avoid an awkward run-in.

To her shock, when her car pulled up, she saw Jennifer Aniston posing with fiancé Justin Theroux on the red carpet.

“Angie was fuming,” a spy dishes. “She had been told a specific time to be there and felt like organizers intentionally put her in Jen’s path in order to get more attention for the awards.

Apparently, she’d started the night in a foul mood because Brad refused to accompany her, so she had to walk the carpet alone. To avoid coming too close to Aniston, she waited in her car until she could see Jennifer walk inside.

Tension between Jolie and Aniston is still there

This was enough to ruin Angelina’s night, the report goes on to mention – and she made it clear to everyone around her that she was not having a good time, by turning into an ice queen.

Meanwhile, Aniston overcompensated, another source adds. “It was clear that Jen wanted to stand out and be the center of attention. She tried to talk to all the A-listers and constantly smiled, to the point that she appeared fake. She also kept eyeing Angie. It was as if she wanted to be seen as the more loved of the two,” says the tipster.

Tension between these two became almost palpable at one point, but, the report adds, this was to be expected because everyone in the industry knows that Angelina and Jennifer “still hate each other and always will.”

However, this is Star Magazine we're talking about, so you should probably take all of the above with a grain of salt.
