Angelina Jolie has everything she wants in life, both professionally and on a personal level, but she is still not above hating another woman for having a life as accomplished as hers, especially if said woman is also a match for her in the looks department.

At least that’s what The National Enquirer would have us believe of how Angelina feels about Hollywood stunner Charlize Theron, who, like herself, is also a very talented and appreciated actress (perhaps even more so than Angelina, we might add), a mother, a very charitable person, and a model.

In fact, because Charlize boasts similar accomplishments to her own, Angelina believes she’s a “copycat” and she hates her for that – with a passion, it would seem.

“There’s no love lost between them. She’s convinced that Charlize latches on to everything she does,” an insider reveals for the publication.

“Both actresses are Oscar winners who were linked to the same role. They both have served high profile posts with the United Nations. And both are adoptive moms. Now, the insider adds, Angelina is in ‘an absolute fury’ over Charlize’s relationship with Sean Penn because she wonders whether her rival is gunning to be part of Hollywood’s newest activist couple, with designs to eclipse Angelina and her partner Brad Pitt,” the tab goes on to note.

We won’t lie, we’ve been waiting for a story like this since Disney announced that Angelina Jolie would be playing Maleficent in their new live-action “Maleficent” film, which will be arriving in theaters soon, because Charlize did such an amazing job as the Evil Queen in “Snow White and the Huntsman.”

You see, this is how some of these rumors make it in print: the smallest similarity like, in this case, playing a Disney villainess, will suffice to imagine a major drama behind the scenes and, where drama is concerned, the Enquirer is best at making it up. We’re not saying every story the tab runs is a lie, but this one is definitely reaching too far.

Still, it’s not the first time that the rumor mill tries to make Jolie look like an evil witch in real life as well, especially if she thinks, wrongly or not, that another woman is somehow trying to copy her and, in the process, steal her thunder.

Years ago, a similar rumor ran after Madonna adopted a baby from Malawi saying that Jolie was furious that Madonna was stealing her “move” of adopting a child from an impoverished country. It was a mean thing to say but celebrity gossip usually is so – which is why it’s best taken at face value.
