Angelina Jolie doesn't feel the need and certainly has no intention of marrying partner Brad Pitt. In her latest interview with Nightline, she leaves no room for doubt as to where she stands on marriage, as the video below will confirm.
The star recently sat down with Nightline for an interview to promote her first directorial job on a feature film, “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” and ABC just released a teaser for it.
Since no Angelina Jolie interview is an Angelina Jolie interview if it doesn't include at least a question on her marriage plans, she makes sure she gets that right of the way with a direct denial.
Asked whether she is considering marrying Mr. Pitt, Jolie responds by saying she doesn't see how she could make her relationship with the father of her children more serious than it already is.
The kids too, she reveal, ask her about it.
“I asked them if it was just because they wanted to have a big cake. They have asked, yeah, because … people get married in the movies,” Angelina says.
“Shrek and Fiona are married, you know? We’ve explained to them that our commitment, when we decided to start a family, was the greatest commitment you could possibly have,” she explains.
“Once you have six children, you’re committed,” Jolie states.
This is just one of the series of interviews the star has been giving in preparation for the launch of her highly anticipated film.
Last week, for instance, she talked with 60/60 on CBS, where she also touched upon the subject of marriage. Back then, though, she held back a little, saying only that she and Brad were committed because they had children together.
Also then, she also talked about her kids and what she expected from them as a parent, and her gorgeous mother, whom she still misses terribly even though it's been years since she died, as we also reported at the time.
