14 DAY TRIAL // Where does the time fly? Angelina Jolie’s eldest son, Maddox, is 12 years old and not only did he accompany her on the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of “Maleficent,” but also got many celebrity bloggers swooning over what a dapper little gentleman he was.
As it turns out, he already has a girlfriend, as proud mom Angelina admitted on the same occasion to Entertainment Tonight. You can see that segment of the interview embedded in the video below.
“He’s dating, he’s got a girlfriend. She’s great. I won’t embarrass him. She’s lovely. She lives in England. She’s very cool,” Angelina said, positively beaming.
If Maddox’s girlfriend is from England, our guess is they met while Jolie was on location shooting for “Maleficent.” She must be the daughter of someone from the UK staff because Angelina continues by saying something that sounds like she’s confirming a long-distance relationship.
“We go there as often as possible. It’s really, really sweet. She’s a great lady, so I’m lucky. So far, we’re doing good,” she says.
This was probably one of the cutest moments on the red carpet at the premiere, second only to when all the other kids except Vivienne (who even stars in the movie as the young Aurora) joined their mother and father, Brad Pitt, for a family photo.
The rest of the red carpet ceremony was unfortunately not incident-free because Ukrainian “journalist” Vitalii Sediuk, known for his bad taste pranks at this type of events, jumped over the barrier separating the fans from the talent and punched Brad in the face, knocking off and breaking his designer sunglasses.
The actor wasn’t hurt in the attack because security was already on hand, overseeing the situation (because Brad was signing autographs at the time), but he was very stunned and profoundly upset.
Sediuk was taken into custody and will probably be charged with trespassing and battery, but also get a lifetime ban at all Hollywood events with a red carpet.
Us Weekly reports that his US publicist has dumped him because of this violent “prank,” saying he’s a disgrace to the industry. The publicist insists that Sediuk is not violent by nature but admits that “It's apparent he has real issues that need to be dealt with.”
Pitt was issued an emergency restraining order for 5 days as a preventive measure. It is unsure yet if he’ll be pressing charges against his attacker.
