As per her own words, Angelina Jolie’s days as a working actress are limited because she’s planning to move for good behind the camera, while also dedicating more time to her family. However, until that happens, she’s determined to give acting her all.

According to the Daily Mirror, the actress has already started training for the role in “By the Sea,” her first film with now-husband Brad Pitt since they did the action thriller “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” on whose set they met and fell in love.

Brad is also training with her, with the report saying he’s already seeing the benefits of the new workout.

Krav Maga has always been a favorite with celebrities

Their workout of choice right now is the unarmed style of combat known as Krav Maga, which is a favorite with celebrities because it helps burn a lot of calories with each single session, while also toning the muscle in a very beautiful way.

Angelina first became acquainted with it when training for “Tom Raider,” the movie based on the popular video game that was quite a physical challenge to complete. She needed to be strong and agile, and Krav Maga helped her get the body she needed.

George Clooney, who is actually a good friend of Brad’s, is also partial to this workout to stay in shape, not just when he needs “a quick fix” for a role. Singer Jennifer Lopez is also said to have tried it and professed herself very happy with the results.

Brad Pitt has already lost weight, gained muscle mass

Speaking of results, Brad is said to have already started seeing them. The report notes that he’s already shed about 10 pounds (4.53 kg) in just 3 weeks with regular exercise classes of this kind. He wasn’t that heavy to start with, but he’s replaced the weight with muscle mass.

“The whole family are learning the moves. Even the little ones are doing modified kids' moves but Brad has been doing it for 45 minutes a day and has dramatically lost weight and beefed up his muscles for the film,” an insider says.

Well, at least they’re all having fun.

So, is “By the Sea” a love story or what?

All this training hints that “By the Sea” isn’t exactly a love story, as previously believed. The fact that Angelina too is training hard certainly seems to suggest that it’s an action flick; it might include love scenes between the protagonists, but it will probably be a thriller of some kind, based on details available right now.

“By the Sea” is based on a script by Angelina Jolie, who is also in the director’s chair. The plot is unknown, as also is the rest of the cast (besides Jolie, Pitt, Mélanie Laurent, and Niels Arestrup), but it has a tentative release date set for 2015.
