Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are tying the knot this summer. Six years and six kids after they met, the two stars have finally decided to make their romance “official” by walking down the aisle in what will be a very intimate ceremony, it has emerged.Though they repeatedly said they would not marry until everyone else could do so legally as well (meaning, the gays), it would seem that they have had a change of heart.
The latest print issue of Us Weekly (story via
here) says it has it from no less than 3 very reliable sources that Angelina and Brad are talking about a summer wedding.
Moreover, they want it to take place at their newly-renovated castle, with only a handful of close friends and family members in attendance.
“The ‘I do’s’ could take place at their newly renovated Chateau Miraval in Correns, France (conveniently featuring a 16th-century chapel) – but don’t expect a lavish bash in the manner of Pitt’s $1 million nuptials in 2000 to Jennifer Aniston,” the magazine writes.
This time, it will be an “intimate and informal” affair, meant to celebrate their love for each other and, at the same time, their commitment to their children.
“They are talking about getting married this summer. They are seriously considering it, but they may just do something on the fly, without any notice,” an insider tells the publication.
Another source confirms the upcoming nuptials and even provides an estimated date for it. “They’re planning on to do it in September,” says the spy.
“Marrying at home will show the kids their mom and dad are committed to each other for the long term,” a third tipster dishes for the same publication.
According to reports, it was the children who managed to make Brad and Angelina change their mind, by constantly asking them when they were going to finally tie the knot.
Brad himself confirmed that in a recent interview. “The kids ask about marriage. It’s meaning more and more to them,”
he said.
