Who is she, the star asks

Comparisons between Megan Fox of the “Transformers” fame and Angelina Jolie are a dime a dozen these days, either popping in the media or because Fox herself prompts them during her interviews. Jolie, for one, has no idea who Fox is and, unless she does more than just see to her acting career, she isn’t interested either, as Life&Style reports.

According to the US mag, during a recent interview, Angelina was asked what she thought of Fox, often labeled in the press as “the young Angelina” for her beauty and not yet fully proved acting potential. Jolie’s answer was blunt and, in more ways than one, like a slap in the face for the “Transformers” beauty, since it indicated that, if she stuck to just acting, she was of almost no relevance.

“Is she aiding in Africa or sitting in on U.N. conferences? Donating herself to something bigger than Hollywood? I’m not familiar with her work, is she an Oscar contender?” Jolie reportedly said. Granted, huge question marks linger above this statement, with most celebrity and glossy magazines inclining to believe the actress would never be so harsh towards a fellow thespian. Of course, this does not stop many from wanting it to be true, since it would be just the type of thing that would “put Fox in her place,” they say.

Speaking of comparisons, Megan Fox was recently lamenting the media’s tendency to label her a younger version of Jolie. At the same time, the star was also voicing her dissatisfaction with being turned into such a huge superstar overnight, for reasons that, she claimed, were still unbeknownst to her at the time.

“I think it’s a lack of creativity on the media’s part [to call me that]. Because I have tattoos and dark hair and I was in an action movie? That’s as far as the similarities extend. I’m not the next anyone. I can’t figure that out. I mean, ‘Transformers’ made $700 million and that opened a door to introduce this ‘new girl,’ and I happened to be such an outrageous personality that people wanted to start writing about me because it was deemed controversial. I think if I had been a typical Hollywood actress and I said all the right things and I had been a publicity android, it wouldn’t have escalated to this level.” Fox was saying a while back.
