Angelina Jolie behaves like a true United Nations goodwill ambassador.
The famous actress has decided to see how survivors are being cared for. Jolie and Pitt will spend their Thanksgiving in Pakistan.
"We'll be on our way to Pakistan in a matter of days", Jolie revealed.
The famous couple have prepared for the trip by attending a briefing at the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva.
According to a spokesman for the UN High Commission for Refugees quoted by Britain's BBC website, the 30-year-old actress is "a terrific goodwill ambassador" who "takes her work for us extremely seriously and that means a lot to her and the staff".
Angelina Jolie is also a Cambodian citizen as she has done a great deal for the country where her adopted son Maddox was born.
She has also pleaded for the international community's attention, to help Afghan refugees who came to Pakistan, after the collapse of the Taliban regime.
"I ask the international community to do more to fund and help shoulder the burden of this part of the world. I met a woman who was about to get on a truck with a small baby. I do not know how she is going to survive, and how she will be able to make a living, to find food, to find health care",
Angelina stated.
