Most Android devices run on some variant of ARM architecture, but Intel’s recent efforts have been focusing on the Android on Intel project, which aims to change all that.

And now you can download an Android 4.4.2 version that is compatible with the Dell XPS12 Ultrabook and Intel NUC.

The file goes by the name android-4.4.2-r1-ia0 and comes equipped with a 64-bit kernel optimized for Intel architecture.

Unlike other Android on Intel builds, this new one is not available as a standard UEFI image, so it will only be good for the XPS 12 and NUC.

Therefore, if you’re the owner of an Ultrabook, you can go ahead and download the build that will transform your Dell device intro a dual-OS machine.

Speaking of dual-OS, there has been a lot of hate directed towards the devices lately with Microsoft and Google partnering up to put a stop to the endeavors.

So far the two tech giants have managed to pressure ASUS to indefinitely postpone the launch of the Transformer Book Duet, a device capable of running both Windows and Android, which was introduced back at CES 2014.

Intel was one of ASUS’ major backers and the chip giant doesn't seem to be willing to abandon the endeavor, a fact demonstrated by the launch of the new build.
