Might not be available outside the country

As Android is getting more and more spread on the Chinese mobile phone market, new devices running the operating system are popping up like mushrooms. Guangzhou, a China-based manufacturer just showcased one of its smartphones called the T-Smart G68. The configuration of the device is relatively basic, while the design seems pretty common.

T-Smart G68 features a 3.2-inches touch screen with a HVGA resolution (320x480 pixel) and a 5-meagapixel camera on the back. At the bottom of the screen, there a four-touch key buttons and three contextual keys. The four touch keys are as follows: menu button, search button, browser button and return button.

The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm 600MHZ processor and probably runs Android 1.6 operating system. Other highlights of the device includes 256 MB RAM and Wi-Fi support. On of the weakest points of the smartphone might be the 1230mAh Li-ion battery, which is said to have a low autonomy. Unfortunately, no numbers have been listed yet.

There's no word yet on future updates of the possible operating system running on the device (only Android 1.6), but this could be a major drawback in case the manufacture doesn't intend to upgrade it in the future. There are still chances that the smartphone might come with an updated version of Android, in which case we won't have to worry too much about future upgrades.

As a mid-budget Android smartphone, T-Smart G68 has some potential on one of the largest mobile phone markets thanks to its affordable price. The device sells for 1290 Yuan, which is about $190 USD. Even if T-Smart G68 has already start selling in China, we shouldn't expect the device to be available outside its native country.
