It shows what true multi-tasking could look like on the OS

Google’s Android operating system has a lot of nice features to offer to its users, but it certainly still lacks some functionality, such as the option to easily switch between multiple applications.

Handset vendors have managed to address this in one way or another, through packing the custom UIs loaded on top of the platform with various multi-tasking features, yet the OS itself does not offer too many options in this direction.

One enthusiast, however, decided to come up with a concept that shows what true multitasking capabilities on Android should look like.

The video, embedded above, shows how a user could easily launch multiple applications on the small screen of a smartphone, then being able to easily switch from one to another, without having to close them or constantly return to the homescreen.

"Although the video shows how the user interact in a mobile screen, this should work the same way in landscape mode or in a table," the designer notes.
