Only one day after Wikipedia blacked out protesting against SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act), the official Android mobile client for the free encyclopedia arrived in the Android Market.

Through this application, users will benefit from fast access to the exhaustive set of articles the encyclopedia includes.

The app offers users the possibility to save articles to read later or offline, to search for articles, and even share them courtesy of the share function in Android. Full screen search is also available in the app.

“Wikipedia is the free encyclopedia containing more than 20 million articles in 280 languages, and is the most comprehensive and widely used reference work humans have ever compiled,” the app’s description reads.

The mobile application is available via the Android Market with support for all devices running under Android 2.2 or newer OS flavors.
