A new tablet PC is now available on the market with Google's Android operating system on board, the Aigo N700. The slate was made available for purchase in Asia at the moment, but is expected to make an appearance in other markets too in the future. The Android-based tablet PC comes with an NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip inside, while running under the 2.1 flavor of the mobile operating system. The Android-based slate arrived on shelves with a 2,999 yuan ($452) price tag attached to it.

The Aigo aigopad N700 was one of the nicest Android-based slates to be unveiled officially earlier this year, even if the company needed more time than expected to make it available for purchase.

The specifications list of the tablet PC reportedly includes a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 CPU, complemented by 512MB of RAM, and 16/32GB of internal memory.

At the same time, the new slate is said to pack a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that boasts a WVGA resolution, and which supports multi-touch too.

3G, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR connectivity options have been included into the mix too, as well as 3G voice calling capabilities.

The Android-based tablet PC also sports a 1.3MP webcam, as well as G-sensor, accelerometer, and HDMI-out, along with USB, audio, video, and dock connections.

According to the guys over at Pocketables, the slate also comes with Aigo's new Freedom River UI, the company's customized interface thrown over the Android platform. The N700 weighs in at 13.4 ounces (380g).

The tablet PC is also said to be able to offer full HD (1080p) video playback capabilities, as well as support for the Adobe Flash 10.1 technology.

As stated above, only users in Asia would be able to get the new device at the moment, though it might not be too long before other countries also get the slate, even if nothing was officially announced on the matter.
