Among the mobile phones that HTC is expected to bring to the market in the not too far future, we can count the HTC Zeta, a smartphone that has just made an appearance into the wild, courtesy of a leaked photo.

The new device will arrive on shelves under a different name, since Zeta is only a codename, but no specific info on what that would be has emerged for the time being, nor on the release date or pricing of the device.

However, some of the specifications that this device will sport when made available did emerge, including the fact that it might pack a 2.5GHz APQ8064 CPU, complemented by 1GB of RAM.

Moreover, the new device is expected to feature a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, and should boast a unique shape, a recent article on Engadget explains.

HTC is rumored to have packed the new device with 32GB of internal storage space, as well as with Beats Audio technology, and with WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity capabilities.

On the back, the new HTC Zeta is expected to sport an 8-megapixel photo snapper with dual LED flash, as well as with 1080p video capture, complemented by a 1.3MP front camera for video calling.

The new mobile phone measures 109.8 x 60.9 x 9.8mm (4.32 x 2.4 x 0.39 inches) and weighs in at 5.15 ounces (146 grams).

It is expected to arrive on shelves with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system on board, and with HTC's Sense UI on top (most probably, Sense 4.0).

Overall, the new device seems a great addition to HTC's future lineup, which should also include the recently leaked quad-core HTC Edge, or the HTC Ville.

For the time being, however, we'll take the info with a grain of salt, but we'll wait for more details on the handset to be released, so stay tuned to learn more on this.
