Move Inc., the owner of Realtor.com, a website that contains one of the largest real estate databases in the world, has recently announced the release of their new Real Estate Search application for Android. The free software provides faster, easier and more organized search features to Android users looking to buy or rent a house.

The new Realtor.com app includes all the popular search features embedded by the iPhone version, which was dubbed as the most downloaded real estate search application.

In addition to the iPhone app's features, the Android flavor adds several new ones such as a widget that continuously pops-up and displays nearby properties, voice entry capabilities to save notes, as well as Google Street View integration.

“The Realtor.com Android app builds on the success and power our iPhone app gave millions of consumers this past year as they searched for homes,” said Steve Berkowitz, chief executive officer of Move, Inc.

“By expanding mobile access to Realtor.com, Move now gives Android users the competitive edge our 15-minute listing update program provides in a manner that fits their mobile lifestyle."

"Because Realtor.com listings are kept current on details including property status or price changes, buyers are better positioned to negotiate with greater clarity and confidence,” added Berkowitz.

Thanks to the new application, Android users will be able to find details about a property or open house within 1 to 20 miles of their current location.

The locations can be pin-pointed using the built-in GPS receiver along with the Google Street Views feature.

Users of the app will also be able to instantly connect with an agent to schedule a tour, dictate and save notes or alert friends about the property.

The Realtor.com Real Estate Search Android app is compatible with Android OS 2.1 or higher and is available as a free download from the developer's website.
