It's an early build that has some bugs and missing features

Up until now there have been only a handful of smartphones and tablets that received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, even though several weeks have passed since the official release of the new operating system.

Most of these devices belong to either Nexus or Google Play Edition family, which means the majority of handset makers haven’t been able to release the update for any of its products.

In fact, only a few even confirmed they would offer the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade for their lineups of high-end smartphones without sharing any details on timings.

The same goes for Samsung, as the South Korean company is still mum on when the Android 5.0 Lollipop update might arrive on some of the world’s most popular smartphones like Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4.

Even though early Android 5.0 Lollipop builds for some of Samsung’s smartphones have already leaked online, owners of these devices can get a glimpse of what’s to come, the handset maker did not announce any release dates.

The newest Android 5.0 Lollipop ROM leaked belongs to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, and just like the previous early builds, it offers owners some details on the South Korean’s company take on the new OS.

Leaked via SamMobile, the new Android 5.0 Lollipop update is still a work in progress, which means bugs are still present and there are a lot of features missing, which are supposed to be included in the final version.

Sadly, Samsung is still mum on Android 5.0 Lollipop rollout timeframe

First of all, the TouchWiz UI is a bit buggy so Samsung needs to iron out a few things in this department. The Material Design guidelines that haven’t been included in Samsung’s apps which are usually part of the Android OS.

Among the new additions that have already been implemented, we should highlight the settings menu’s side scrollable tabs for different sections. Moreover, all stock Android apps in the Lollipop have been updated with Material Design UI and new shortcuts and icons have been included.

This early Android 5.0 Lollipop build for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 hasn’t been leaked online, which means if you own the smartphone, you can only see it demoed on video, but you won’t be able to download and install it.

On top of that, there are no details on when exactly Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade might arrive on Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but we can safely assume that this will be among the first to receive the update.
