One of the features that the upcoming Android 4.4 KitKat operating system is expected to bring along is an updated interface, with specific areas of the platform expected to look completely different when compared to what Android 4.3 has to offer at the moment.

The Downloads section of the operating system is one of these, set to receive a complete revamp in Android 4.4, and a screenshot available courtesy of Android Police confirms that.

At the moment, the stock Downloads user interface packs a Holo Dark background, something that will change in the aforementioned OS upgrade.

Furthermore, Android 4.4 KitKat is said to bring a proper action bar to Downloads, with the Sort button placed at the top of the screen.

At the same time, there will be a much cleaner icon placed at the top left corner of the screen, and a Holo Light background color.

No official confirmation on whether these changes will indeed make it inside Android 4.4 has been provided, so stay tuned to learn more on the matter.
