Taiwanese mobile phone maker HTC Corporation is reportedly getting ready for the release of the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system update to a handful of smartphones, including all the devices it released in the One series this year.

A recent tweet from developer @LlabTooFeR unveils that all these devices are expected to receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update, along with a series of other smartphones from the company.

Among the phones that might receive the Android 4.4 update sooner or later, we can count the HTC One, One Dual-SIM, One max, One mini, Desire 601, Butterfly S, and the HTC Butterfly / Droid DNA. Other devices might also receive the update, it seems.

HTC has already started to deliver the update to the HTC One Google Play Edition, thus confirming that the OS might become available for other HTC One smartphones in the not-too-distant future. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
