Back when they were introduced in December 2013, the Lenovo Yoga 8 and 10 both came running Android 4.2 out of the box.

If you own one of these tablets, you might be wondering when you’ll finally get to have a taste of the latest Android 4.4 KitKat goodness.

But Lenovo hasn't even pushed the Android 4.3 update for the slates, so the wait might be a long one. Anyway, it seems like the Chinese tech giant is willing to by-pass a stage.

According to the guys over at TabletManiak who spoke with a Lenovo representative in the country, the company will be offering the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the tablets starting this June.

The roll-out will include all models and variations of the Yoga tablets, including Wi-Fi and 3G versions.

As you might be aware, the Yoga line comes in two variants the 8-incher and the 10-incher, both featuring a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The tablet duo is powered by a 1.2GHz MT8125 quad-core processor (or MT8389 quad-core one if we’re talking 3G models) coupled with 1GB of RAM.

There’s two cameras available (5MP on the back and 1.6MP in front) and customers can choose between 16GB and 32GB models.
