As I told you earlier this month, the much-awaited Android 4.4 KitKat OTA update for owners of the LG G Pad 8.3 has started rolling out. Initially, the new build was made available only in Korea, but now European/UK users are reporting that the OTA update has arrived on their devices too.

LG might not be the fastest company to provide updates, but better late than never. As you might well know, the new build has started rolling for the G2 internationally, including South Korea, Canada and US (for models coming from AT&T and T-Mobile).

The update has also been spotted in the wild for the OG Optimus G Pro and contortionist G Flex. And the LG G Pad 8.3 is one of the latest addition to the delicious KitKat family.

Previously, I told you that LG Germany had confirmed that the update would arrive in Q2 and it has kept its word. The new build has been spotted in Germany, Netherlands and the UK, but it’s probably available in more territories.

So if you haven’t checked yet, power on your device and see if the OTA has arrived. If it has, be sure to have your device with 50% battery capacity and 500MB of free internal storage before you start the process. Happy updating!
