Following its release on Moto X smartphones on the networks of mobile phone carriers Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile, the Android 4.4 KitKat software release is now available for the AT&T flavor of the smartphone as well.

Motorola promised last week that the update would arrive on its Moto X smartphones out there in the near future, and it appears that it is almost done with its release in the United States.

The company kicked off a soak test for the update only a few days ago, and it seems that it was happy with the results, and that the official deployment has started, the vendor announced.

Some of AT&T’s customers with a Moto X in their hands have already received the update, while others should be notified on its availability in the near future.

The Android 4.4 upgrade will provide AT&T users with the same features and enhancements that arrived on the device on other wireless carriers out there.
