Owners of Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 dual SIM devices in India can now download and install a new operating system flavor on their smartphones, in the form of Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The new update is available for download as build number G7102XXUBNG4, and some people have already started to receive it, it seems.

However, no official changelog has been attached to the new platform iteration, although all of the features and capabilities that Android 4.4.2 has brought to other devices out there should be included in the new update as well, as SamMobile notes in a recent post.

Thus, Galaxy Grand 2 Dual SIM owners in India will see white status bar icons on their phones’ screens following the update, along with better performance capabilities and support for wireless printing.

Moreover, the update should provide them with the possibility to change the home and messaging applications, as well as with expanded emoji support, closed captions, and new flavors of various Samsung applications that come pre-loaded on the phone.

At the moment, the platform upgrade appears to be available only over the air and only in India, though it should arrive on more markets as well soon, and might also be released on the web, for manual downloads. Stay tuned for more info on the matter.
