The Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system update is now available for more Samsung users out there, as the company has started to push it to the owners of Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S III devices in Canada.

Some of those who own these devices in the country have already confirmed that the update is available for their handsets on the networks of wireless carriers Bell, Koodo, Rogers and TELUS, it seems.

According to MobileSyrup, however, chances are that the update is actually rolling out to all Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S III devices in the country, although no official confirmation on the matter has been provided as of now.

The update reportedly weighs no less than 500MB for the Galaxy Note 2, while arriving on the Galaxy S III as a 364MB download.

The new platform iteration is being pushed to these devices over the air, which means that users will receive a notification on its availability on their smartphones.

However, they can also manually check to see whether it has arrived on their phones or not, by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update.

However, we should note that the update is most likely being deployed in stages, which means that some users might have to wait a bit longer for it to arrive.
