Good news for Android fans who still own the old Samsung Galaxy Note II, as the long-awaited KitKat update has just arrived at Sprint.

Sprint customers who have purchased their Galaxy Note II devices through this carrier’s official retail channels should start checking for the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update on their phablets.

According to Sprint, the update is rolled out in stages, so it may take several days until it reaches all Samsung Galaxy Note II devices.

Unfortunately, the official changelog of the update does not mention anything other than the fact that it should upgrade the operating system to Android 4.4 KitKat.

However, we do know that the update should bring lots of new features and improvements, both visual and under the hood, so expect enhancements to be applied in all departments.

On a side note, Samsung kicked off the rollout of Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Galaxy Note II more than a month ago, but the update was only available in certain countries.

Well, it looks like this month, it has reached the United States, so Samsung Galaxy Note II owners in this country should expect the update on their device in the next couple of days. Have you captured the update yet?
