14 DAY TRIAL // Good news for Samsung Galaxy S4 owners in the United States who purchased their smartphone through T-Mobile’s official retail channels, as the carrier has just kicked off the rollout of Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.
It’s been less than a week since T-Mobile USA started the deployment of Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and now the Galaxy S4 receives the same treatment.
The carrier has already posted the official changelog of the update on its support website and has confirmed that the OTA (over the air) download will be available beginning March 10.
TmoNews also reports that the update is about 400MB in size and that it will take around 45 minutes to download and install it on the Galaxy S4. We recommend Samsung Galaxy S4 owners to download Android 4.4.2 KitKat via Wi-Fi for a quicker upgrade process.
Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Samsung Galaxy S4 contains a new Camera shortcut on the lock screen and improved screen keyboard. Some stability improvements have been included as well, along with lots of under the hood enhancements meant to improve the overall performance of the smartphone.
