Samsung released the source code for the Android 4.4.2 KitKat for T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 last week, but users had to wait until today to be able to actually upgrade to the latest version of Google’s mobile platform.

The folks over at TmoNews report many T-Mobile users have already started to receive the update on their Galaxy Note 3 phablets. However, keep in mind that there’s a high chance this is a staged rollout, which means not all Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users will receive the update at the same time.

Make sure your phone’s battery is at least 50% charged and that it’s connected to a stable Wi-Fi network for faster and more reliable downloads.

Android 4.4.2 KitKat might not bring too many changes in terms of UI, but the overall performance of the Galaxy Note 3 is expected to increase after the upgrading to this version of the operating system.

T-Mobile is the third US-based carrier to kick off the rollout of the highly anticipated Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy Note 3, after US Cellular and Sprint.

We expect KitKat for Samsung Galaxy S4 to arrive T-Mobile in the next couple of days as well, so stay tuned for more info on the matter.
