The slightly lower version of Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo has just received the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in South Korea.

Samsung usually drops upgrades in its native country first, but the KitKat update for Galaxy Note 3 Neo came out of the blue without any warnings. Samsung’s phablet was launched on the market in late February, but it has only recently been released in more countries.

The fact that Samsung managed to upgrade it to Android 4.4.2 KitKat in less than 2 months from its launch on the market is commendable.

However, for the time being, SamMobile reports that the update is only available in South Korea, and it may take a while until the Galaxy Note 3 Neo starts receiving the Android 4.4.2 KitKat upgrade in other countries.

Although no official changelog is available yet, Galaxy Note 3 Neo owners in South Korea should expect all the improvements and new features included in the KitKat update for the standard Galaxy Note 3 model.

Keep in mind that the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is rolled out in stages, so Galaxy Note 3 Neo owners in South Korea may not receive it at the same time. Stay tuned for more details on the availability of the update in other countries.
