The new platform version should come to all users very soon

Starting today, owners of an AT&T Moto X smartphone who are also members of the Motorola Feedback Network should start receiving the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system on their devices, the latest reports on the matter suggest.

Last week, Motorola started to send out invitations to a new soak test for the device, and Android Central claims that today is the lucky day for users.

Other Moto X devices in the United States have already had their fair share of the new platform release, but AT&T’s model was left a bit behind.

Starting today, however, this should change, as those who are part of the Motorola Feedback Network and accepted to participate in the soak test will receive the new software (Motorola did not say which firmware will be released to them, but Android 4.4.2 KitKat is the best candidate, it seems).

Moreover, chances are that the company will actually start pushing the new OS release to the rest of AT&T’s Moto X users soon after the rollout begins to testers, although no info on the matter has been provided as of now.

However, should this pan out, we’ll be able to learn specifics on the matter within several hours, so keep an eye on this space for additional info.
