The update brings Galaxy Gear and KNOX compatibility

Android enthusiasts who purchase the Samsung Galaxy S4 through Cricket Wireless will be happy to know that the carrier has just kicked off the rollout of the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for their devices.

AndroidPolice reports that software update R970CCRIEMK4 is now pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so Galaxy S4 owners at Cricket may want to check their devices for the update.

Samsung has already published the official changelog of the update, so Galaxy S4 owners should expect to receive the following new features and improvements:

- Samsung Knox support; - Samsung Galaxy Gear support; - 3rd party app update (Cricket, Navigator, Data, Connect); - Changed method of “hidden menu enable;” - PFM (Pulse Frequency Modulation) mode has been implemented to prevent from any abnormal behavior such as lock-up or PMIC damage.

The update has more than 500MB in size, so it’s recommended to download it via Wi-Fi network to speed up the upgrade process.
