Samsung released the long-awaited Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II last month, but due to some critical problems affecting units upgraded with the said update, it was forced to stop its rollout.

It’s been less than a month since the update was pulled and now it looks like Samsung is back with Android 4.3 for Galaxy S III.

Hopefully, all the serious issues experienced by Galaxy S III have been ironed out and the devices won’t freeze or lag after upgrading to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Galaxy Note II owners were luckier as their Android 4.3 update arrived earlier, though it’s still being rolled out globally so not all owners might have received it yet.

Anyway, SamMobile reports that Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Samsung Galaxy S III is now live in the UK, but will soon be deployed in other countries as well. Here are some of the most important changes included in the upgrade:

- Samsung Galaxy Gear support; - TRIM support; - Core UI elements updated to the ones on the Galaxy S4; - New Samsung Keyboard; - Updated GPU drivers; - New Lockscreen: multiple widgets, improved ripple effect, ability to change clock size and set a personal message; - New Screen modes: adapt display and professional photo; - Daydream; - Driving mode - Actionable notifications; - Move-to-SD-card feature; - New Camera mode: Sound and Shot; - New additions in Notification Centre; - Completely revamped Settings UI; - Implementation of Voice controls; - New Samsung Apps: Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Gallery, Music; - Full screen Samsung apps; - New S-Voice.

Keep in mind that Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for Samsung Galaxy S III is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, so it might take a while to reach all devices. Those who have yet to be notified on availability may want to check for it manually by going to Settings / About phone / Software update / Update.
