Good news for Android fans in the UK who still own the Galaxy S III, as Samsung has just kicked off the rollout of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for their favorite devices.

According to GSMArena, the update is pushed OTA (over the air) and Samsung Kies desktop software. Keep in mind that Android 4.3 upgrade is delivered in stages, so it might take a while until it reaches all Galaxy S III devices in the UK.

We reported last week that Samsung started to deploy the long-awaited Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Galaxy S III in various regions and it looks like it took the South Korean company less than a week to launch it in the UK.

Aside from bringing the phone's software to Android 4.3, this major update adds Samsung Galaxy Gear support, along with lots of new features and improvements. Check out below some of the most important changes included in the update:

- TRIM support (faster UI); - ANT+ support; - Core UI elements get the new TouchWiz look (not widgets and icons though); - New Samsung Keyboard; - GPU drivers have been updated; - New Lockscreen: Multiple Widgets, improved ripple effect than Android 4.1.2, ability to change clock size and set a personal message; - New Display modes: Adapt Display and Professional Photo; - Daydream; - Driving mode; - Actionable notifications; - Move-to-SD-card feature; - New Camera mode : Sound and Shot; - New Additions in Notification Center; - Tabbed Settings UI; - Implementation of Voice controls; - New Samsung Apps: Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Gallery, Music; - Full screen Samsung apps; - New S-Voice.

Samsung Galaxy S III owners who have yet to be notified on the update can manually check for it by going to Settings / About device / Software update / Check.
