14 DAY TRIAL // Canadian mobile phone users who own an HTC One smartphone can now download and install the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system version on their devices.
The handset is currently being upgraded to the newer OS version from the Android 4.1.2 that was loaded on it before.
According to MobileSyrup, HTC One owners on the networks of wireless carriers such as Rogers, Bell, TELUS, and Virgin Mobile are currently receiving notifications on the availability of the update.
The firmware weighs 573.96MB and is being delivered over-the-air. Following installation, users will see software build 3.22.631.1 loaded on their devices.
Android 4.3 is set to provide the owners of HTC’s flagship smartphone with some appealing enhancements over the previously available software.
Among these, we can count lockscreen widgets improvements, quick settings in the notification bar, and support for Bluetooth 4.0 LE.
Furthermore, the new platform release arrives with OpenGL 3.0 ES support, as well as with other changes at the OS level.
On top of that, the software includes a series of enhancements coming from HTC themselves, such as improvements to the camera, along with a performance boost.
Users will also enjoy new content for BlinkFeed, as well as a better Sense 5 launcher after installing the new update, it seems.
