Owners of Sony Xperia SP (C5302/C5303) smartphones out there can now download and install the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system for their handsets, though through unofficial sources for the time being.

A development build for the device has leaked online and is now up for grabs for the Xperia SP users out there as firmware version 12.1.A.0.256.

The software was published online by XDA-Developers forum member DooMLoRD, who notes that this is only an internal testing firmware, which means that the final release might be different from it.

The leaked ROM can be downloaded from this forum thread, and it should work only on the aforementioned Xperia SP (C5302/C5303) devices.

Before proceeding, users should keep in mind that this is not an official release and some features might not work. They are also advised to back up all data on their handsets before installation.
