Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Build for Sony Xperia Z1 Gets Certified

The update should hit the smartphone in less than a week

Good news for Sony Xperia Z1 owners, as the long-awaited Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for their favorite device has just been certified at PTCRB.

XperiaBlog reports that software version 14.2.A.0.290 that has been recently spotted on some Xperia Z Ultra devices earlier this week is now ready to be pushed to Xperia Z1 smartphones as well.

Although Sony has yet to announce when exactly the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for Xperia Z1 will be available for download, the Japanese company has confirmed that the smartphone will receive the update at some point this year.

Given the fact that the Android 4.3 build has received PTCRB’s certification, we expect the update to be pushed OTA (over the air) later this week or at the beginning of the next. Stay tuned for more info on the upcoming release of this Jelly Bean update for Xperia Z1.
