It looks like Sony continues to release various Android 4.3 Jelly Bean builds for Xperia SP. We lost count of how many times the Japanese handset maker pushed new firmwares for the mid-range smartphone, which does not bode well for Xperia SP owners.

XperiaBlog reports another Android 4.3 firmware version 12.1.A.0.266 for Xperia SP has just been certified at PTCRB. It appears that the previous version's testing failed at some carriers, which is why Sony had to released another build.

We're not sure what the problem is but we're getting closer to Sony's self-imposed deadline for the released of the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Xperia SP.

According to the company, the upgrade should arrive on multiple Xperia models, including the Xperia SP, sometime in late January / early February.

However, by the look of things, it's becoming more and more obvious Sony won't be able to keep its promise. Stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
