14 DAY TRIAL // Android 4.2.2, the latest flavor of Google’s mobile operating system, has started to arrive on Nexus devices a few days ago as an over-the-air update, but it can already be downloaded manually on all of them.
We have already reported that the necessary files emerged online for Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 handsets, but it seems that Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 users can also grab them from Google’s servers and manually install them on their tablets.
As Android Police notes, the update is available for Nexus 7 running under build JOP40D via this link, while up for download for JOP40D-based Nexus 10 here, and for the JOP40F-powered flavor of the tablet here.
The same as with the Galaxy Nexus, users can install the new OS flavor on these devices via a custom recovery, or through adb sideload via a computer (they’ll have to enter the full file name in cmd in this case).
