Owners of the HTC One smartphone on the network of Australian wireless carrier Vodafone can now download and install a new software update for their devices, one that brings along the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean platform.

The operator has already announced the availability of the new platform release, confirming that it will arrive on devices OTA and that will bring along a nice range of enhancements.

Among them, there are HTC Zoe improvements, with 6 new themes and music for Highlights, a Quick settings panel with 12 default settings available by swiping two fingers down the screen, and new lock screen widgets.

Furthermore, the new software release comes with improvements to Auto Focus and Exposure – lock in viewfinder, and with various other stability and performance enhancements.

Users can download the new release either via a Wi-Fi connection or on Vodafone’s 3G network. They can check on its availability for their handsets by going to Settings > About Phone > Software Updates > Check Now.
