The update was initially pushed to Rogers Galaxy Nexus

We reported a few days ago that Rogers’ customers who owned the Samsung Galaxy Nexus had started to receive the long-awaited Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean upgrade.

However, it looks like other Galaxy Nexus models started to receive the update over the weekend as well.

MobileSyrup reports that TELUS, Fido and WIND Mobile Galaxy Nexus devices are now eligible for an Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean upgrade as well.

Given the fact that the update is pushed OTA (over the air) in stages, we recommend those who have yet to be notified on availability to check for it manually by going to Menu / Settings / About device / Software update / Update.

Among other things, Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean fixes a bug with the December month that did not show on the date selector when users wanted to add an event to a certain contact.
