Sprint has yet to release the promised Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for the HTC EVO 4G. Although the update was initially slated for June, the carrier decided to push the rollout of Ice Cream Sandwich to August.

Today, the Taiwanese company confirmed plans to deliver Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates for the One XL, One X and One S, but many other powerful HTC phones have yet to be scheduled for this upgrade.

However, until HTC decides which handsets are eligible for Google’s latest Jelly Bean operating system, we can always try out unofficial ROMs that get released online.

One of the first Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROMs for the HTC EVO 4G has just been released by XDA forum user Mazda. Based on CyangogenMod 10, this unofficial ROMs has a few features that do not work yet, such as camera, 4G , Netflix, Hulu Plus, HBO, stock Browser.

For more details on how to flash this custom Android 4.1 Jelly Bean ROM for HTC EVO 4G, head over to the original thread.

This link is for original "Evo 4G", not "Evo 4G LTE" - 2 different phones.

This article links to a rom for the HTC Supersonic, which is the original 4G not the 4G LTE. Basically, if you try and put that on your LTE, it will break. So don't do that.

It's not for the 4G LTE, it's for the old 4G that came out two years ago.

This article is inaccurate. The CM10 ROM you're referencing (and link to) is for the HTC EVO 4G, not the EVO 4G LTE.
