After officially confirming its availability last week, Motorola and Verizon Wireless have started to deliver the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system update to DROID Bionic devices out there, it seems.

The new platform upgrade will arrive on smartphones as build 98.72.22, providing users with a nice range of enhancements, including performance improvements, Google Now, a better keyboard, and improved notifications.

Verizon announced last week that the update was set to begin rolling out in phases on April 15, and users are already reporting successful upgrades, droid-life reports.

The new software weighs 98.72MB and will arrive on devices over-the-air. Users will be notified on its availability, but they can also check for it manually, through going to Settings > About phone > System updates.

Apparently, the update is also available for manual installation should users be unable to retrieve it OTA.
